Ethiopia: 110 People Receive Jail Sentences for Corruption

June 6, 2010 -- Federal courts sentenced 110 individuals for corruption, ranging up to 21 years in prison and 50,000 Br fines, according to Reporter.

Chief among the culprits were the former general manager of the Land Development Office with the Kolfe Keranio Sub-City, Wondwosen Alemu, and the former finance officer with the Judgment Execution Department of the Federal High Courts, Goshu Andualem, according to a press statement the commission sent to The Reporter.
